Prayer and Fasting: Day 2 Tuesday, January 5, 2021

Today as we fast and pray, the Word I have in my spirit is “Draw near to God.” Receive God’s Promise that comes to you after obeying what we are told to do in verses 6-7.

Isaiah 58: 8-9 “Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer, You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’

Pray from verse 9b: Lord, change my heart. Holy Spirit, show me where I “point the finger” finding fault, criticizing, judging others (we are to judge the fruit of others and remember, if you judge, you will be judged) and speaking wickedness- gossip, slander, false accusations.

I choose to forgive those who have hurt me Lord, even as You have forgiven me. You are the Judge and the judgment you have for my enemies is that they would be saved, healed, filled with the Holy Spirit. Today, I bless my enemies in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Pray: Lord, today I humble myself before You. I ask you to remove strife and selfish ambition from me. Read James 3:13-17 13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

Pray: Lord, purify me. I choose to submit to You and Your Word. Help me to love others, to submit to others, to be considerate of others- full of mercy, peace, and good fruit. Lord, help me to “extend my soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul.”

Pray: I pray for godly unity in my home, our Church, our Community, the United States of America. Let Your glory be manifest. Let Your Revival fire move in and through me to affect the world around me.

Pray: Lord, I pray for people to be elected in Georgia who will stand for the Constitution of the United States of America and who will represent this nation with righteousness and honor for You and Your Word, in Jesus’ Name. God, I pray that You will bring righteousness to America. Bring us to our place as a “City set on a hill” shining with Your Holy Light. I pray that you will be honored in the proceedings tomorrow in the United States Congress. I lift Your Name over this nation, in Jesus’ Mighty Name.

We love you, and will see you at Mountain Moving Prayer Wednesday night at 7 pm in the Church.
