Dear Church Family

We are completing our 12 Days of Thanksgiving this week but I want to remind you to continue be thankful every day. Keep your list of people and things to be thankful for. In Luke 17:11-19 we read about ten lepers who cried out to Jesus to be healed. “Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. 12 As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy[a] met him. They stood at a distance 13 and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” 14 When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed. 15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 16 He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.17 Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? 18 Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” 19 Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”Only one returned to Jesus to give Him thanks. I encourage you to be the one who returns to thank our Savior and King Jesus. Keep a grateful heart, even when you are going through trials and tribulations. Dennis Jernigan has said it so well in his song “Thank You.”  “Thank You for loving and setting me free, thank You for giving your life just for me, how I thank You… Jesus I thank You. Gratefully thank You. And I thank You…”

Day 9 (11.23): Give thanks for your family members. Call or text them and let them know how much they mean to you. Share a fond memory.  Exodus 29:12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.”  “We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers,” 1Thessalonains 1:2

We love you and we are grateful for your faithfulness to God and to Christ for the Nations Church
